Bits and Pieces!

Here it is June 1st already...just two more Guide meetings left, plus our final camp. We have all had a great year, and are looking forward to another great Guiding year 2009/10. 2010 is Girl Guides of Canada's 100th birthday, so there will be all sorts of great activities to look forward to.

Keep checking, because between now and the beginning of Sept I hope to go through all my photos and notes from our various meetings to update postings with lots of interesting bits from the entire year.

Snowflake Ball

Our District had our annual Snowflake Ball, and ........ Guides from our Unit attended. Food was great, girls were gorgeous, and everyone had gobs of fun...photos to follow.

June Camp 19/21 June at Christine's place

Year-End Camp!
Friday June 19th to Sunday June 21st is our final Camp of the year. This Camp will be at Christine’s place in Cedar – cheap (free!) and close to home. The girls want a relaxing Camp, and will be doing some more planning at tonight’s meeting. Drop-off will be 6pm Friday, and tentative pickup Sunday will be 1030am (allowing for Breakfast, Cleanup & Camp closing). Because Sunday is Father’s Day, if any parents must pick their Guides up earlier than 1030am, please let us know so we can plan accordingly. Camp Fee will be $15 – the Unit is paying for the rest from Cookie money. We have a general idea of who is coming (everyone we think?) but need numbers soon. Forms are attached to this Newsletter: As always you keep the Activity Plan SG1

FALL SLEEPOVER Chemainus Nov. 08

Our Chemainus Heritage Sleepover on November 14/15 2008. Lots of fun, food and frolicking. We had great food, games, crafts, day and night hikes, campfires (inside with a fake fire, of course). Lots of fun and definitely something to repeat next year!
